a rambling blast
I’m not saying anything right now, because I have nothing nice to say.
Stopping to say hi is not overrated.
Check out my short note posted on Toby.Getsch.com.
middle of the night
While struggling with sleeping, I stopped. I stopped struggling and started writing. It’s one of those nights where I’m really glad I decided something a long time ago, about 22 (UPDATE – DOH!) 32 years ago (when I was six). I don’t get bored. I find something more interesting to do. Tonight, I don’t know if I was bored. I actually think I was subconsciously trying to solve a technical issue related to work. That’s not the best for sleep and looking at a blank white ceiling isn’t either. So, here I am. (That’s two “I before E, except after C” words, with isn’t in between. Oh, but it it *is*. No, it’s not!) I like having a good attitude. Ping #AttitudeMeme! Also, ping #KindaQuotable.
We must.
What can I say no to today? What can I avoid? Who should I stop being friends with? Who should I avoid? How can I simplify? What is not needed? Who is a bad influence? –> If we don’t make time for what is important, all the crap and clutter and false importance we leave around is a physical, emotional and spiritual weed which will not decrease unless action is taken. We can make the right choices every day. We must.

We always have a choice.
both boredom and anger are secondary; dealing with the underlying causes of each takes time, courage and perseverance; that leads to maturity; we always have a choice
Like a Child
Dear God, surround me as I speak,
the bridges that I walk across are weak
Frustrations fill the void that I can’t solely bear.
Dear God, don’t let me fall apart
you’ve held me close to you
I have turned away and searched
for answers I can’t understand.
They say that I can move the mountains
And send them falling to the sea
They say that I can walk on water
If I would follow and believe
With Faith Like a Child
Sometimes, when I feel miles away
and my eyes can’t see your face
I wonder if I’ve grown to lose the
recklessness I walked in light of you
They say that I can move the mountains
And send them crashing to the sea
They say that I can walk on water
If I would follow and believe
With Faith Like a Child
They say that love can heal the broken
They say that hope can make you see
They say that faith can find a Savior
If you would follow and believe
With Faith Like a Child

good example of sarcasm
Oh, how I love it when someone nails good sarcasm, right on the head… This is from the “I AUTOMATICALLY HATE THE NEW FACEBOOK HOME PAGE” Facebook group. Let’s deal with what we can control and change our attitudes!
I HATE CHANGE AND EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH IT
I WANT EVERYTHING TO REMAIN STATIC THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE LIFE
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WANT FROM THINGS I CANNOT CONTROL
BY LOGICAL DEDUCTION I AUTOMATICALLY OPPOSE THE NEW FACEBOOK STREAMING HOME PAGE
IF I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS GROUP IT IS NO LONGER FUNNY
AttitudeMeme
When I think about a topic and decide to write about it, one interesting thing (to me anyway) is seeing in which category it lands. This topic about “attitude” and thoughts about how to change and adjust attitudes is something that I encounter every day – we encounter every day. This is the introduction of the “The Attitude Meme.” It also happens to hit on every one of the categories already here… Autodidactism, Education, Life, Listening, MegaDrivel, Perception, Perspectives, Priorities, and Writing.
Yes, there is a little wordplay going on here. Attitude + Me +Me… I don’t think that works. However, I do think it works to infect positively pass along a good attitude and good ideas. I don’t know anyone that I like to be around who dislikes a good attitude. This is another positive beginning… Welcome to a new category and a new domain, AttitudeMeme.com. (Yes, that’s another wordplay.)
